Another top day :) started as usual with breakfast at Levington Marina - low water and loads of birds we then stopped along the old Ipswich road just outside Trimley where loads of waxwings have been spoted - sadly no waxwings but did see some lovely fieldfares :) and had good chat to an old windsurfing mate Chris Stephens out on his bike before heading over to Martlesham. We had soup in the van and the weather had closed in and it looked like rain but we donned our walking boots and took a chance, it was very muddy in the woods but saw a kestrel in a tree and carried onto the creek. The tide was very low and there was hardly a breath of wind and we watched an egret, a godwit and some little grebes feeding in the lagoon :) We carried on along the creek seeing several longtailed tits before reaching Kyson Point by which time the sun had returned and the River Deben looked wonderful in the late afternoon ligh :) I was out with my new camera a Fuji X-S1 and was enjoying taking pics of the mill pool river :) We carried on abit towards Woodbridge and there were several rowers out enjoying the perfect conditions :) A big black dog playing in the mud made us smile as did the 2 paddling Godwits :) We made it back to the van just before dark - a top day and tomorrows looking good for some windsurfing, I would have gone to The Ray but my sister is coming for tea :) so will make do with a spot of longboard sailing at a low water Levington :)

PS - more good news Ipswich Town won thier third game in a row - thats unheard of !!! and move further away from the bottom :)
